Norsigian, Alice, 91, of Wethersfield, died on April 15, 2021. She was born and raised in Hartford, the daughter of Garabed (Charles) and Satenig (Elizabeth) Avakian. She was a proud graduate of Bulkeley high school class of 1947 and Hillyer College. She enjoyed working many years as a secretary for Litchfield high school, Bulkeley high school, Trinity College and Attorney Robert Farrell, Jr. She was predeceased by her husband, Krikor (George) Norsigian, her daughter Genevieve and her brother, Robert Avakian. She is survived by her son, Gregory Norsigian and his wife Susan of Wethersfield and her daughter, Amy Thomas and her husband John of Appleton, Wisconsin; and her five grandchildren, Krikor, Melani and Taline Norsigian, and Ani and Ari Thomas. She was proud of her Armenian heritage and supported many charities. She was one of the first couples to get married at Saint George Armenian church. She was a talented seamstress, knitter, cook, baker and hostess. She was a dedicated daughter, wife, aunt, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed traveling, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends. She was a long-time member of Center Church and Saint George Armenian Church in Hartford. Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 from 10 to 11 a.m. followed by a funeral service at the Brooklawn Funeral Home, 511 Brook Street, Rocky Hill. Burial will follow at Rose Hill cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Saint George Armenian Church.
