Lucy (Kevorkian) Hamalian, 90 of Boynton Beach passed away after a brief illness on February 2, 2018. Lucy was born on January 14, 1928 in Hartford, CT to Kevork and Verjin Kevorkian who preceded her in death. She married the love of her life Simon Hamalian in Hartford, CT on August 7, 1949 and they lived in North Granby, CT for many years. Simon passed away in October 1990 and Lucy subsequently moved to Florida and lived in Boynton Beach for many years. She graduated from Bryant College and worked as a legal secretary in Hartford for many years before her retirement. Lucy was very involved with St. George Armenian Church in Hartford, serving in the Women’s Guild and as the church organist for decades. Upon moving to Florida, she also served the St. David Armenian Church in a similar capacity. When not serving her church, Lucy enjoyed playing cards and taking cruises. She was a wonderful lady who cared and loved her family and friends. Lucy is survived by her sons Mark Hamalian (Diane) and their daughter Christine (Mike) and Peter Hamalian (Holly) and their daughter Rachel. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, beloved friends and her longtime companion Avedis Boornazian. Her brothers Gerry Kevorkian, John Kevorkian and Carl Kevorkian also preceded her in death.
