Annette (Tajarian) Kevorkian died peacefully on April 7, 2018 at the age of 94. She was born and raised in Worcester, MA, daughter of the late Soukias and Baidzar Tajarian. She later married the late Girard (Gerry) O. Kevorkian and settled in Simsbury, CT to raise a family. She worked at the CT Department of Corrections and then retired to Delray Beach, FL and finally in her later years enjoyed her time at Avery Heights in Hartford. As a member of St. George Armenian Church in CT and St. David Armenian Church in FL, she was active in the church Women’s Guild and a Past Matron of the Order of Eastern Star. Preceded in death by her sisters, Rose Garabedian and Alice Atanian, Annette is survived by her daughter, Melanie Brown (husband Bill), her son David Kevorkian (wife Jeannie), grandchildren Kenneth Kevorkian, David Brown and Elizabeth Kevorkian, in addition to her 2 great granddaughters Dylan and Sloane Kevorkian.
Calling hours are 6:00-8:00 pm on Wednesday, April 11 at Taylor & Modeen Funeral Home, 136 South Main St., West Hartford. Funeral services will take place at St. George Armenian Church, 22 White St., Hartford at 10:00 am on Thursday, April 12. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. George Armenian Church for the Girard & Annette Kevorkian Endowment Fund.
